Eh...

Sorry, I just don't find this very funny. Or original. It looks, sounds, and feels like an Oney cartoon. There's a difference between inspiration and outright plagiarism.

DotExecutables responds:

Please explain how this is an "Outright Plagiarized" video? Plagiariazation is taking someone's exact idea and replicating it or copying the idea.
So yes, it's only inspiration.

This isn't funny. And you should really watch your ratings, man. This is NOT an 'E' submission. Unless f-bombs are suddenly considered Winnie the Pooh's new catchphrase.

Dieseling responds:

Glad you liked it! :)

Terrible. Just terrible.

Animation was nice in this. You really can see the improvement from 2006 to now. It's beautiful work.

However, the voice acting still sounds pretty unprofessional. It's choppy, it's quiet, and the lines just sounded hollow. I went back and watched the original, and honestly, the voice acting in that one was better. Not as far as quality goes, mind you, but emotionally, the lines were much more enthusiastic. What happened?!

Also, in the subtitles, I noticed a couple of typos. Hate to be a grammar Nazi, but it's just a little distracting.

Don't get me wrong. I'm excited for UO coming back. You really upped the stakes as far as the animation goes. But as for everything else, I dunno. It needs work.

WHOOKOS responds:

I'll do my best to improve the voice acting and there's no excuse for typos. Thanks for the help!

For a quick little short, this is pretty good. More time and more length would have made it great.

Legendary-Frog always had a certain talent for incorporating pop culture references into his animations, especially some of his older work involving Ark and Kerrigan. It really shines through in this one, even though it all felt a bit stale and overdone.

But as always, excellent animation skills on the part of Toonwerks. The voice cast was phenomenal; Omahdon once again showed he can really use those pipes of his. Look forward to seeing more.

That was it? Really? What was that, like four jokes? Did you hurt yourself?

"Tea!"
"Weed!"
"Horse fuckers!"
"Cats!"

Just a bit of advice, next time you want to make an animation, DON'T get high before writing the script. Trust me, it's not as funny as it seems. I'll give you some props for the quality of the animation, but other than that... not really your best work. And I've seen your older stuff.

Most of this looked like a four-year old was given flash and read too many Garfield comics. There were a couple of gems, but a gem has much less value when you have to stick your arm in a pile of shit to get it.

I can't help but admire the work that went into this. But to be honest, the story is lackluster, the animation amateur at best, and the production disjointed. One minute Jack is driving through an acid-induced city on his car bed, the next he's crying about his ex. Then he's watching a commercial about happy pills that sells itself to be something comedic, then we're right back to watching him cry about his ex. I suppose that was the whole point of the movie. A lunatic creates a fantasy world to avoid his horrible life, then kills himself because he can't quite escape from his past. It could have been done so much better, and has before. Nothing unique, nothing fantastic, just a bunch of supposedly symbolic bullshit. You told a story that could have been told in five minutes, but for some asinine reason you decided to take nearly eighteen to do so.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

I'm a voice actor, I'm a writer. I even make music sometimes.
